EpiGuard™ is a protective device that helps prevent pain and damage to the tongue and cheeks during epileptic seizures. JBD’s innovative solution, based on a silicone spring principle, complies with a strict requirement: epileptic patients can sense seizures five seconds before they occur and insert the device into their oral cavity within that time frame.
To achieve maximal fit and ease of use, JBD tested its models on potential users during development stages.
