Additional information:

The Bioness L300 system is intended for daily use by people suffering from foot drop, a condition caused by damage to or disease of the central nervous system. The L300 system generates gentle functional electric stimulation (FES) that enables the leg to be lifted by means of an individually fitted pair of electrodes, thus facilitating a stable and safe gait.

The system was designed for independent use of partially disabled users, who can simply strap it on with one hand. Plastic, elastomer and textile materials offer structural functionality, springiness, flexibility and a soft touch that provides users with a sense of comfort and confidence. The system can be used with various types of clothing and is available in a broad spectrum of sizes.

Functional models were made in the company’s workshops and tested in clinical trials conducted by the Bioness Development Dept. The device is FDA-approved. It was manufactured by JBD at the outset of serial run production.
